I think that the recent discussions at this blog were generating a lot of heat and hardly any light. Therefore, a comment policy has been formulated. Some of the comments violating those guidelines have been deleted.

If we keep harping on old tunes, nothing positive would come out. Rather it allows the extremists on either side to justify their positions. There is a fine line between constructive criticism and consistent hatred, and that is the way it would be on this blog.

Cheers !

<emp>"So it is revealing that while the muslims of India....."</emp>

red_devil: Perhaps you missed the central point of Mohib's post. Pls allow me to reiterate it. The people in that conference were no more a representative of Indian Muslims, as let's say Shiv Sena is the representative of Indian Hindus. The title of this post is "Look who's talking" and the last line is "the bottle is empty in this case".

<emp>"Now you know why the majority of the people of India see muslims as anti-India.Now you know why we say muslims of India have no loyalty to India , have extra-territorial loyalties , are Pakistani agents and are a threat to India."</emp>

We already know it. There are some people who secretly hope for such fringenut conferences to succeed, so that they can arm their talking-points dept. I guess this blog can't help it. But there are some who genuinely get the wrong impression due to such consistent coverage in the media. Because they don't get to hear the silent majority. Because as you and I would probably agree, Indian Muslims are not good in PR. Hence this blog. It will make an attempt to point out the shades of grey to this second set of reasonable people.

I think this post was one such successfull attempt.

Good find Mohib :-) But the most hilarious part is :
"...will attend the day-long meet to iron out differences and work towards the common goal of launching a joint movement....blahblahblah"

And tomorrow watch out for the sun, it's gonna rise from the west.
