Wishing All Readers A Peaceful And Blessed Eid

Eid WishesIndian Muslims Blog wishes all its readers a peaceful and blessed Eid. Depending upon local moonsighting or predetermined date Muslims all over the world would be celebrating Eid either on 30th September, 1st October or 2nd October 2008.

Eid or Id or Eid-ul-Fitr or Meethi Eid comes after a month of fasting in the month of Ramadan when Muslims forsake any food or drink from dawn till dusk. In view of the recent tragedies in India and elsewhere we pray that everyone enjoys an incident free Eid with family and friends.

On this occasion please allow me to quote an excerpt from the last Khutbah (address) of Prophet Muhammad to his followers on the occasion of last Hajj he performed.

All mankind is from Adam and Hawwa (Eve), an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black, nor a black has any superiority over a white – except by piety and good action.
